Hyacorp® hyaluronic acid injection is an alternative to buttock implants or fat injection into the buttocks (buttock lipofilling or Brazilian Butt Lift), with a surgery-free, scar-free solution for increasing buttock volume. Hyacorp® hyaluronic acid injections are performed under local anaesthetic, or under general anaesthetic for larger quantities.

Dr Christelle Santini chose Hyacorp because it is a cross-linked, volumizing hyaluronic acid that is very well tolerated and very easy to work with, to sublimate the contour of the buttocks. Hyacorp ® is a biotechnology-derived hyaluronic acid gel that is 100% natural, non-animal-based and biodegradable.

It's a viscous gel that relaxes during injection, before regaining its shape memory. Not only is injection more comfortable, it's also ideal for sculpting new reliefs with precision.

Injection is virtually painless, as the Hyacorp ® syringe contains a local anesthetic. It comes in a 10 ml syringe, 10 times larger than a facial syringe, enabling larger volumes to be injected.

However, two factors will limit buttock augmentation by injection:

• the price, which is proportional to the number of syringes used, bearing in mind that Hyacorp® is absorbed after 18 to 24 months, which means that injections into the buttocks have to be repeated;

That's why Dr. Santini always assesses your needs and expectations to propose the right technique.

Dr Santini performs a preliminary clinical and aesthetic examination, including the taking of medical photographs (with your consent).

She will advise you on the best techniques and give you her main recommendations.

On the day of the buttock injection, you do not need to fast. However, it is advisable not to drink alcohol or expose yourself to the sun in the hours preceding the hyaluronic acid injection, as the risk of bleeding and bruising may be increased.

It is very important to minimize the risk of bleeding from the treated areas by avoiding taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs for 8 days before and 5 days after the injections.

In the case of background treatment, the prescribing physician's agreement is required.

For optimum comfort, we recommend applying Emla cream 0.05% (prescribed by Dr. Santini and sold in pharmacies) to the areas to be injected 1 hour before the session. This white ointment rapidly penetrates the skin tissue, becoming invisible, enabling you to obtain a contact anaesthetic while maintaining your usual activity.

Under local anaesthetic, the surgeon injects Hyacorp ® hyaluronic acid between the skin and the muscle.

Dr Santini chooses the natural fold of the buttock or the gluteal cleft as the injection point, inserting a painless cannula with foam edges.

Injecting Hyacorp ® hyaluronic acid is virtually painless and the result is immediately visible. It takes about 60 minutes to inject Hyacorp ® (about 150cc to 200cc per buttock).

During or at the end of the session, Dr Santini can massage the volumes to optimize the hyaluronic acid remodelling.

The patient immediately resumes her daily activities.

The buttocks are immediately enhanced, harmoniously rounded and nicely contoured, both visually and to the touch. However, you need to wait 2 weeks for optimal results, once swelling and bruising have disappeared.

A fuller posterior enhances the sensuality of the entire lower silhouette.

In some cases, a touch-up can be performed 2 to 4 weeks later to perfect the buttock augmentation.

To maintain the result obtained, a maintenance injection is required every 12 to 18 months (on average 40% of the hyaluronic acid has degraded by 12 months).

Some bruising and a feeling of tightness may occur after Hyacorp ® hyaluronic acid injection, but these disappear within 4 to 5 days. We recommend avoiding prolonged sitting, sleeping on your stomach or on your side, and avoiding long journeys in the week following the Hyacorp ® hyaluronic acid injection.

How does buttock augmentation with AH injections work?
