UrgoTouch Laser treatment of cosmetic surgery scars in Paris
The UrgoTouch® laser is an innovative, portable medical device designed to be used directly in the operating room when closing the wound. Its aim is to optimize the post-operative scarring result, to sublimate the scar to come. Dr Christelle Santini in Paris recommends this technology for any potentially visible scar lesion, to make the scar and the surgical act imperceptible.
What are the indications for the Urgotoch Paris laser?
Dr Christelle Santini, plastic and aesthetic surgeon in Paris, treats your scars and modifies the inflammatory healing process using the Urgotouch laser, a unique medical innovation resulting from INSERM research in Lille.
How does the Urgotouch laser work?
The Urgotouch ® laser is a portable electronic medical device dedicated to the preventive treatment of scars in the operating room, following cosmetic or reconstructive surgery. In a simple, safe and painless gesture, it enables early action deep within the skin, optimizing tissue reconstruction to produce less visible scars.
Photons are emitted at a specific wavelength to activate dermal stem cells and accelerate their transformation into young fibroblasts. The cellular activity of these cells rapidly regenerates skin with all the qualities of young, supple, plump and perfectly elastic skin.
Who is the Urgotouch laser intended for?
Scar healing is an unpredictable process that varies from patient to patient. The Urgotouch laser helps to optimize the appearance of the scar right from the moment of suture. Its use is indicated to improve scarring results, particularly for patients who have difficulty healing overall, or for whom the surgical scar is in a visible area.
Is the Urgotouch laser suitable for all skin types?
Yes, Urgotouch technology can be used on all skin types and colors, without risk and with optimal aesthetic results.
What should I do before an Urgotouch® laser scar treatment?
In accordance with the law, Dr Santini carries out two cosmetic surgery consultations at least 15 days before the operation.
By detailing the precautions and recommendations, she can offer you this added value in surgery, to optimize your healing process.
She then incorporates this possibility into your surgical estimate.
How does preventive treatment with the Urgotouch® Laser work for a discreet scar?
This laser treatment takes place in the operating room, at the end of cosmetic or plastic surgery, when Dr. Santini has sutured the wound. The procedure is therefore inherently painless, as the patient is still under the effect of the surgical anaesthetic.
The precise firing of the handheld laser enables deep intervention in scar tissue. It raises the temperature locally to act more effectively on the normal inflammatory reaction of a scar.
Dr. Santini performs these shots in a single session lasting just a few minutes, enough to stimulate the healing process and achieve a better result. The patient doesn't notice a thing, but his or her eyes are protected.
It's important to emphasize that using the Urgotouch® laser is no trivial matter, and must be carried out by a qualified, authorized and trained person, such as Dr Christelle Santini.
What to do after Urgotouch laser scar treatment?
The benefits of the Urgotouch laser have been clinically proven in a study of 40 patients. Patients who had undergone abdominoplasty or breast reduction surgery found that the technique significantly reduced or even improved the appearance of post-surgical scars, with a reduction of up to 1/3.
The usual precautions to be taken after laser treatment, such as avoiding the sun, must be respected, but in reality they are part of the broader precautions and recommendations that apply after any surgical procedure. In practice, therefore, there are no additional constraints for the operated patient.
Highlights of Urgotouch Paris laser scar optimization
- Transparent" procedure for the patient: no additional side effects or precautions.
- Painless Urgotouch® laser procedure performed at the end of anesthesia.
- Scar improvement, up to 1/3 in size.

Bonjour Madame,
