Hollywood Peel

The aim of a peel is to remove part of the skin's thickness, so that it can regenerate and restore a baby's skin, younger, brighter and more sensual.

While most peels are chemical peels with acidic compounds, the Hollywood peel is based on a very different approach, combining a thermal effect with a mechanical one.

This unique, patented approach involves using the Hollywood Spectra laser, the only one to offer triple technology:

• the Spectra mode, with a wavelength of 1064 nm, heats a carbon lotion applied to the skin in 0.3 ms bursts: this thermal effect acts as a medium peel, stimulating remodeling stem cells in the dermis;
• the Spectra QS mode, on the same wavelength, will vaporize carbon particles and dead keratinocytes in very short 5 ns bursts, without any thermal effect. This exfoliation by vaporization acts like a superficial peel, smoothing skin texture and homogenizing it perfectly.

The peel takes just 20 minutes and is performed in three stages.

It requires a trained practitioner, equipped with a Spectra Hollywood laser developed by Lutronic: this is the only laser that combines the luminous energy of photons with the mechanical energy of resonance, the key to a successful peel.

1. On cleansed, make-up-free skin, Dr Santini begins by applying CARBON PEEL™ carbon lotion, specially designed by Lutronic® to be reactive to its laser waves.
2. This totally non-toxic paste of activated charcoal and mineral particles is designed to absorb photon energy, acting as a carrier.
   It is left on for 12 minutes, to fully impregnate skin tissue.
3. In a second step, Dr Santini uses the handpiece in Spectra mode to heat the carbon lotion for 4 minutes. This heat is transferred to the dermis, with a dual effect: an immediate tightening effect as collagen fibers retract, and a delayed effect as hyperthermia activates the regenerating stem cells responsible for neo-collagenesis.
4. Finally, Dr Santin performs a physical laser peel in Spectra QS mode for a further 4 minutes: this second pass vaporizes the dead cells with the surface skin film, smoothing out the skin texture to make it even, with a soft, satiny feel.

Just 20 minutes is all it takes to achieve a spectacular double effect on the skin, with the glow effect and the slight tightening effect.
