Penoplasty or phalloplasty in Paris

You don't have to be a man to know how important the size of the male sex is in the development of virility and identity.

The question is, what is the average penis size, as there are few scientific studies on the subject. However, a male penis measuring 10 cm at rest, with a circumference of 9 cm, is considered "normal".

More than the figures, it's really the patient's feelings that need to be taken into consideration. Penoplasty will then naturally increase the dimensions of the male sex, either at the request of the patient alone, or sometimes at the request of the couple.

Penis enlargement is performed by lipofilling, which increases the circumference of the penis both at rest and when erect.

On the other hand, lengthening the penis by means of lengthening penoplasty only increases the length of the penis at rest: the size of the erect penis remains unchanged.

Social security does not cover this aesthetic penis enlargement. No sick leave will be prescribed, so it's important to allow 5 to 10 days of downtime after the penile enlargement procedure.

As with any cosmetic procedure, you'll need to make an appointment with Dr. Santini at least 15 days before your penis augmentation surgery.

Dr. Santini will be very discreet in her clinical examination, paying close attention to your needs and discomfort. She needs to understand the "why", to be sure that the surgical solution will solve your problem.

She will then explain the different solutions with their advantages and possible disadvantages. She will also draw up an estimate.

A consultation with the anaesthetist is also compulsory, and should take place no later than 48 hours before the operation, to enable the anaesthetist to carry out any additional tests that may be necessary.

All medications containing aspirin should be avoided for 10 days prior to surgery.

It is strongly recommended to stop smoking at least one month before and after the procedure, to facilitate the uptake of the fat grafts.

You must not eat, drink or smoke for 6 hours before the operation.

Penoplasty is most often performed on an outpatient basis (same-day discharge after agreement with the surgeon).
Several types of anesthesia are available for enlargement penoplasty (local or general), whereas local anesthesia is not recommended for penile augmentation by lengthening phalloplasty.

• Anesthesia for penis enlargement

For widening penoplasty, you can either have a thorough local anesthetic (vigile), which allows the patient to be awake but relaxed and insensitive to pain thanks to the combination of an analgesic and a neuroleptic, or a general anesthetic under which you are completely asleep.

• Procedure for penoplasty enlargement

Enlargement is performed by lipofilling: fat is removed using a micro-cannula from an inconspicuous area of the body with excess fat cells (abdomen, thighs, etc.). After removal, the fat is centrifuged for a few minutes to reveal the intact fat cells, which can then be grafted.
Then, Dr. Christelle Santini injects micro-particles of fat in multiple, divergent directions to increase the contact surface between the implanted cells and the recipient tissue, thus ensuring the survival of the grafted fat cells.
As this is a self-grafting procedure, there is no risk of rejection.
The lipofilling technique is definitive, with a harmonious, homogeneous rendering that increases the penis in erection and at rest, in width only.
The operation takes around 1h30.

Penoplasty lengthening technique by Dr Santini

• Anesthesia to increase penis length

For lengthening penoplasty, only general anesthesia is available.

• Procedure for lengthening penoplasty

Lengthening is achieved by releasing the penile suspensory ligament, which connects the corpora cavernosa to the shaft of the penis. The penis and corpora cavernosa are then freed. The resulting lengthening is 2 to 5 cm, but only concerns the flaccid penis at rest under the effect of gravity.
Associated lipofilling enhances the result.
On the other hand, erect length remains unchanged, as it is linked to the corpora cavernosa.
The shape of the scar varies according to the surgical procedure: either an inverted Y located on the pubis and descending onto the scrotum, or a Z-shaped scar.
In some cases, a small additional incision is required at the root of the penis over the bursa.
These are very discreet, as they are hidden by the hair.
The average operating time for a lengthening penoplasty is 1? hours.

After enlargement, edema (swelling) and ecchymosis (bruising) of the penis and sampling areas are common.

For the first few days, unhooding may be impossible: it's important not to exert any pressure and to wait for the swelling to subside, which will disappear completely within 1 to 3 months (most swelling subsides within a few days).

Bruises fade after 10 days.

Pain, although moderate, is systematically managed with simple analgesics.

The sutures are absorbable, and several post-operative consultations with Dr Christelle Santini at her practice are required.

We strongly advise you to wear loose-fitting boxer shorts for 1 month, to avoid any compression.

Sexual activity is forbidden for 3 weeks and should be resumed gradually.

You can resume sporting activities one month after the operation.
The final result is obtained between the 3rd and 4th month. This is normal, but it is sometimes necessary to carry out a second operation to perfect the result.

It is then recommended to avoid weight variations to avoid damaging the aesthetic result.
